Why winter in the countryside is the perfect time for a wedding!

While wedding season in the Highveld is typically in spring and summer, autumn and winter are slowly catching up in popularity – and it’s not difficult to see why! Here are some wedding planning tips from a beautiful countryside wedding venue near Pretoria. The great weather: Weather is often the greatest concern for any couple, but the Highveld has you covered with it’s warm, clear sunny days and star-filled nights. While it might get a little cold in the early morning and late evening, day time weddings are the perfect occasion where you’ll feel comfortable in almost any wedding dress – and indoor receptions can be easily heated to keep all your guests warm and having fun. The scenery: Winter landscapes in this region are dramatic and beautiful, the perfect backdrop for your photos. With a clear, bright blue sky stretching down to pale, golden grasslands, your photographer will have the ideal background to capture your special day. The cost: Wedding costs can get out of control easily, and the best way to bring it back on budget is through the venue. Unfortunately, the best venues cost the most – but not in winter! During the off-season, you can get great discounts and specials that allow you to get the wedding venue you love at the budget you can afford – and that means more to spend on your dress or honeymoon! The themes: Winter time themes are the essence of romance, so having your wedding at this time of year gives you the chance to do something really different. Whether you want a glittering winter wonderland or the romance of roaring fires, winter is the perfect time of year to indulge in these elegant themes. How to plan a corporate presentation or workshop

Presentations and workshops are an important part of corporate life, whether you are assisting clients to become familiar with a new product or introducing new concepts to train up your team. Here are some tips for a successful presentation or workshop, from a leading conference venue near Johannesburg. Define your parameters: These events can easily become side-tracked by the way they impact on other areas of business, so it’s important to define the scope of your project and stick within it. Know your audience: This will determine how in-depth it should be, the level of technicality you should use, the focus of the event and the language you should use. For example, clients and vendors will require a different focus to a department training group or C-level executives. Use media: Visual representations, demonstrations and so forth are essential for rounding out your project, keeping people interested and engaged, and giving a comprehensive representation of what you are trying to achieve. Rehearse: As with all things, practice makes perfect, so you need to do a few dry runs alone and with co-presenters. Jot down questions you think your audience is likely to ask, as a co-worker knowledgeable on your topic to review it and give pointers, and make sure your slides and other media are working smoothly. Get the right space: For a presentation or workshop to be successful, it needs to take place in a suitable space. It should be comfortable in any season, have enough space for attendees and the presentation itself, have a suitable AV package and be distraction-free so everyone can focus.
